Going to the gym in your Nike Metcons (or Rebook officially licensed CrossFit motherfuckers) and whacking a truck tire with a sledgehammer isn’t a workout. Sledgehammering fucking tires isn’t a sport at the Olympics, power lifting is, bitches. I’m trying to get a pump to old soul music and you’re fucking loud and annoying.

Nah man, literally it’s this dude just banging away with his damn sledgehammer. Well, then he did dumbbell rows really excitedly with like 50 lb dumbbells and made sure to throw them to the ground as loudly as possible at the end of each set. Dammed distracting, I tell ya.

(I’m not a power lifter, I do a push/pull/legs 3 day split with cardio and abs every day.)

I’ve heard of these magnificent isolation devices known as “head phones” which allow you to listen to whatever you want and block out everything else. There are also less sophisticated versions known as, “ear plugs” which just block out all noise.

Some of my noises would probably set off their lunk alarm. I’m fine with people making some noise of there exerting themselves. It’s really just the stuff where people make *dumb* noises like chucking not-very-heavy weights at the floor because they think they’re cool.

They should put a pile of wood out back, & a wedge to go with that sledge. I remember doing this as a kid about 9 or so. I think it was a punishment, but I wasn’t sure what for.

I had a guy behind me in the gym who was making extremely loud jet turbine noises every time he lifted. It wasn’t annoying (my music was up), but it was damn funny. Loud breathing is a given, but this was a sort of long, drawn-out whistling sound.
